Hi, I’m Rachel, and I’m so glad you’re here!

Art, design, and creativity have always been my North Star. Originally from small-town Alaska, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Art History from Oregon State University and have spent my career discovering ways to bring artistic principles into everyday life.

My journey began in high-end residential construction, where I dove deep into the homebuilding process. Working in construction management allowed me to collaborate with clients, architects, craftspeople, and suppliers, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to bring a vision to life.

At Ursa Major Design, we’re all about making the design and construction experience as approachable and enjoyable as possible.
