I've always believed that our homes should tell our stories. Creating or renovating a home is an incredibly personal process, and it doesn't have to feel overwhelming. My goal is to help you feel supported from the very beginning, creating spaces that reflect who you are while making each decision feel approachable and intentional.
Growing up in small-town Alaska, I developed an appreciation for craftsmanship, natural materials, and homes that feel deeply connected to their surroundings. That early curiosity led me to earn a degree in Art History from Oregon State University before beginning my career in custom residential construction management.
Working alongside architects, builders, and skilled craftspeople gave me a unique understanding of how beautiful homes come together, not only aesthetically, but thoughtfully and practically. I learned how every detail contributes to the overall experience of a home and how important collaboration is throughout the process.
I later continued my education at the Inchbald School of Design in London, where I refined my approach to interior design, proportion, and materiality. That experience deepened my belief that timeless design is never about following trends. It's about creating spaces that feel authentic to the people who live in them.
Today, Ursa Major Design brings together my background in construction, design, and art to create homes that feel warm, timeless, and deeply personal. Whether we're renovating a single room or designing an entire home, my goal is to make the process enjoyable and create a space that feels unmistakably yours.

My background allows me to approach every project from both a creative and practical perspective.
I understand the design process, the construction process, and how to help clients navigate both with confidence.
That means fewer surprises, clearer communication, and thoughtful decisions that result in spaces you'll enjoy for years to come.

Why It Matters to You

My Design Philosophy

I believe the best interiors are never designed simply to be beautiful.
They're designed to support your daily routines, reflect your personality, and become a place that feels unmistakably like home.
Every project begins by understanding how you live so together we can create a space that feels effortless, intentional, and entirely your own.
